Welcome from the Head
As the acting Head of School, it is both an honour and a privilege to lead our wonderful school community while we await the arrival of Mr. Thompson after Easter. During this time, I am committed to ensuring that we continue to provide an environment where our children can thrive.
Barlborough Primary School prides itself on being at the very heart of the local community, a reputation we work diligently to uphold. Our children remain our top priority, and we strive for every child’s experience at Barlborough to be a positive, memorable one that they will cherish for years to come. We focus on nurturing our children so that they feel happy and safe, which, in turn, prepares them to learn effectively. Each child is treated as an individual, with the curriculum tailored to meet their unique needs. We take great pleasure in celebrating their successes, no matter how big or small.
Moreover, we aim to instil a genuine love of learning in our students, encouraging them to always strive to be the very best they can be. We take immense pride in our children’s achievements, and the impressive end of Key Stage 2 results reflect the dedication and hard work of both the children and staff throughout their educational journey with us.
In addition to academic success, we maintain high expectations for our children’s behaviour. It brings us great joy to help our children develop into polite, well-mannered, and resilient young individuals. We equip them with the skills to think independently and the knowledge to make informed choices, setting them up for future success.
While I enjoy the responsibilities of being the acting Head of School, I genuinely look forward to Mr. Thompson joining us and collaborating towards a bright future for our school community.
